‘Self-declaration' worries employees

Pre-condition imposed by the government to pay salaries for agitating employees raises worries

‘Registering the non-cooperation in service register may adversely impact promotions'

SANGAREDDY: What might be the content of ‘self declaration', the pre-condition imposed by the government to pay salaries for the agitating employees, is the question lingering in the minds of few lakhs of employees from the Telangana region.

More than 35,000 employees are participating in the non-cooperation movement in Medak district.

Even though the government laid the above said condition, it has not yet circulated any proforma in regard to this.

According to highly placed sources, the proforma may ask the employees to declare that they attended duties by signing in the register but abstained from performing work by participating in the non-cooperation movement. However, the officials have their own doubts on how many would come forward to give the self declaration in this proforma.

Details

In case the employees did not come forward to give declaration, then the head of the department would be asked to furnish the details of the employees who performed duties in addition to signing in the register.

He would also be asked to note the ‘non-cooperation' details in the service register of the concerned employee so that it will be there in the record.

“As of now the employees may be paid the salaries after series of discussions with the union leaders. But registering the non-cooperation in service register may adversely impact promotions,” commented a senior official, on condition of anonymity.
