Man held with firearm

Canning: A man suspected to be part of a gun smuggling racket was arrested at Canning in South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal on Thursday. The police claim to have recovered a 9 mm pistol from him.

The police said Ruhul Amin Zamadar was picked up from Matla river bridge following a tip off. Eight rounds of ammunition and two magazines were also found in his possession, police said.- PTI
