VELLORE: High-speed trials using a special train will be conducted on the Villupuram-Vellore Cantonment broad gauge (BG) section between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. (tentatively) on Saturday. This is part of the inspection of the newly converted BG track being carried out by K.J.S. Naidu, Commissioner of Railway Safety, Southern Circle, Bangalore, from March 3 to 5 to assess the fitness of the track for operation of passenger trains. The public have been warned not to go near the track and platforms between the two railway stations, said a release .
