APSCHE Secretary Christopher shifted
Special Correspondent
HYDERABAD: The A.P. State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) Secretary, M.D. Christopher, has been repatriated to his parent department on administrative grounds and has been asked to report at S.V. Arts College, Tirupati.
Based on the orders, he was relieved on Friday evening and N. Rajasekhar Reddy, Joint Director, APSCHE took over as in charge Secretary.
Dr. Christopher told The Hindu that the government had recommended his name as the Director of National Institute of Tourism and Travel Management in Nellore and the Central Government has to give its orders.
In the meantime, he said, he has been asked to take over as Officer on Special Duty (OSD), Shilparamam. “I will report in my parent department and get relieved there to join as OSD, Shilparamam,” he said.
Though Dr. Christopher's tenure will come to an end in June this year his transfer was being speculated for over six months now.
Allegations were levelled against him for his alleged deviation in norms during work. However, Dr. Christopher denied the allegations and said he followed the rule book.
