SANGAREDDY: The general body meeting of the Zilla Parishat was adjourned without transacting any business demanding Telangana. Soon after Chairman M. Balaiah came to the meeting hall, the TDP members led by floor leader Bakki Venkataiah raised ‘Jai Telangana' slogans supported by other members present in the house. Mr. Balaiah himself proposed a condolence motion in regard to those who sacrificed their lives for the cause of Telangana. The House observed two minutes silence paying respect to them including students. Later Mr. Venkataiah demanded that meeting should be postponed demanding introduction of a bill in Parliament for the formation of separate state. He came to the dais along with his party members and urged the ZP Chairman to postpone the meeting stating that they would not move from their till a decision was announced by the Chairman. sThe TDP members were supported by the ruling party members also. After passing a resolution demanding to introduce a bill in Parliament for Telangana, the House was adjourned.
