Letters to the Editor
In its long history, India Post (editorial, March 7), may have been slow off the mark in facing up to the competition, but with its vast network and enviable reach, it is bound to succeed in serving the country better. R. Soundararajan, Nagapattinam India Post is an organisation with untapped potential. As it has proved itself to be a sincere and trustworthy entity in savings banking and insurance over the decades, it should vigorously explore avenues in these areas, as its service charges and organisational expenditure are cheaper than those of private players. To achieve this, there must be the necessary political will to make the changes. S. Ramesh, Bangalore
