Keep off, France told

Vaiju Naravane

Paris: Libya's Colonel Muammar Qadhafi on Monday accused France of meddling in his country's internal affairs. In an interview with a French television station Mr. Gaddafi criticised France's support to the National Libyan Council recently formed by rebel groups in the city of Benghazi.

In an interview with France 24, Mr. Qadhafi was asked about the recognition France has extended to the anti-government movement in Libya. “That's interfering in Libya's domestic affairs. If we were to intervene in what is happening in Corsica and Sardinia, how would France or Italy react?” he said.
