NIZAMABAD: The Balkonda police on Tuesday recovered the highly decomposed body of a carpenter P. Mohan (40) from his car which was suspected to have fallen into the Kakatiya Canal at Pochampad crossroad.
Mohan, a timber merchant belonged to Ilapur village of Korutla mandal in Karimnagar district had left his residence in his car on business on February 21.
Since then his whereabouts have not been known. Two days after his wife lodged a complaint on her husband missing in Korutla police station. The car was found upside down position in the canal with Mohan's highly decomposed body which is beyond recognition being in it.
The passersby identified the car as the Irrigation authorities stopped the release of water into the canal, according to K. Seetharam, Sub-Inspector of Police.
