A tiny tot having a look at the exhibits at the theme show-cum-exhibition organised by Laurel Kids in Rajahmundry on Friday. —
RAJAHMUNDRY: Laurel Kids, a preschool, invited people of the city to have a glance at its methodology of teaching with a theme show-cum-exhibition – The Voice of Laurels – on Thursday. The 20-day event was inaugurated by M. Indra Neil, consultant radiologist, along with Sunkara Ravikumar, correspondent of Sri Gowthami Samart School.
The theme show has different kinds of pictorial designs for desired learning that are purposeful and productive at the preschool level. Age-appropriate and child-centred methodology adopted by the teachers is exhibited at the show.
The theme on transport explains the use of transport by land, water and air. Stick puppets are used to explain the tiny tots the different kinds of animals, the jungle, the zoo and the way animals and birds live. The way different seasons and climatic conditions are explained is impressive.
Bhavaraju Padmavati, principal, who is behind the show, says the school has recently entered into an education exchange programme with Whitestone Infant School, Nuneaton, Central England, U.K.
