Dak Adalat on March 21
Tirupur: The Department of Posts will hold ‘Dak Adalat' and ‘Customer meet' at the office of the Superintendent of Post Offices here on March 21. Complaints and suggestions from the customers relating to postal services for the Adalat should reach the Superintendent of Post Offices (Tirupur division) before March 18. The cover containing complaints should be superscribed ‘Dak Adalat case'.
Official sources said that the complaints should contain full details such as date and time of posting, full address of the sender and addressee, registration number in the case of registered letters/insured articles and office of booking and value of the material.
If the complaint was about savings bank or postal life insurance, it should contain the account and policy numbers as well as the name of the insurant/depositor.
Sources said that the complaints for Dak Adalat could be sent through ordinary post or speed post. Those sent through couriers would be rejected.
