NELLORE: High Court Justice B. Chandra Kumar has expressed concern over the increasing divorce cases in the State. Many young couples are quarrelling over minor issues and are approaching courts seeking divorce, he said. The judge participated in the special training programme for Para Legal Volunteers (Anganwadi Workers), organised by District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) in the District Court Complex here on Saturday. DLSA Secretary G. Satya Prabhakara Rao presided. Principal District and Sessions Judge L. Srirama Murthy, First Additional District Judge S. Jagannatham, Family Court Judge G. Chakradhar Rao, Principal Junior Civil Judge L. Tejovathi, First Additional Junior Civil Judge M. Satish Kumar, psychiatrist G. Gangadhar, CDPO P. Prabhavathamma and others participated. He said many couples were approaching courts over petty issues due to lack of parental guidance and were spoiling the lives of their children. He said that proper education system, joint families (staying with parents) and timely legal aid could prevent separation of couples. He stressed the need to create awareness among women on various laws and acts for building a healthy society.
