Plea to save Hussainsagar

Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee general secretary, G. Niranjan has appealed the Chief Minister, N. Kiran Kumar Reddy to immediately consider the recommendations of Experts Committee of Supreme Court and the Committee of Experts constituted by the then State government in the 1980s to save Hussainsagar as well as the surrounding localities.

Suggestion

In a letter to the Chief Minister, Mr. Niranjan also proposed setting up a high-level committee of Irrigation Engineers to examine within a short timeframe, all aspects in the background of latest damage to have safe future to Hussainsagar and its downward surroundings.
