VHR objects to Seemandhra leaders' bid to stall bifurcation

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Congress MP V. Hanumantha Rao has objected to the attempts by certain Seemandhra party leaders to prevent bifurcation of State for their selfish interests.

At a press conference here on Saturday, Mr. Hanumantha Rao said the objections being raised by some leaders against bifurcation was meaningless.

“When 41 Congress party MLAs met Sonia Gandhi seeking a decision on Telangana, why were they silent,” he said. Referring to the ‘Million March', he said it had turned into people's movement.

He faulted the police for now allowing the march.
