NIZAMABAD: Assistant Commissioner (full additional charge) of Commercial Taxes Prabhakar Jaini was caught red-handed by the ACB sleuths while accepting Rs. 2.50 lakh bribe from a businessman Praveen Reddy on Monday. According to ACB Deputy SP K. Prabhakar Reddy, the accused officer, in fact, demanded Rs. 5 lakh from the complainant to reduce the tax amount on the turnover of his steel metal business in Siddipet of Medak district. When the complainant expressed inability to give such a huge amount, the officer demanded him to bring half the amount first.
