Rotary Club hands over Rs. 2 lakh worth medicines

CHENNAI: Members of the Rotary Club of MCC on Monday handed medicines worth over Rs. 2 lakh to Apollo Hospitals.
In a brief meeting at the hospital on Greams Road, Charter President of the club and former Tamil Nadu Director General of Police V. Vaikunth handed over the medicines to Chairman of Apollo Hospitals, Pratap Reddy.
“We had collected Rs. 10 lakh worth medicines and conducted medical camps at Lathur panchayat in Kancheepuram. Apollo Hospitals sent their medical teams for the camps,” said Mr. Vaikunth. He added that the extra medicines were given to the hospital to be used for underprivileged patients.
Other members of the Rotary Club of MCC including President R.M. Anand and Director of Health Ratna Sangeetha were also present at the event.
