RAMANATHAPURAM: Speakers, who participated in the World Consumer Day celebrations at Mohamed Sathak Engineering College, Kilakarai, have asked the students to develop knowledge on consumerism.
Syed Abu Thaheer, Principal, who presided over the function, said that though the government had enacted many laws to protect the interests of consumers, the awareness was low. Many did not show no interest in following standard procedures while purchasing products.
Surya Rao, Director, Mohamed Sathak Institute of Management, Radhakrishnan, consumer activist, Kilakarai took part.
