Osmania posts win

VIJAYAWADA: Hyderabad's Osmania Medical College defeated Prathima of Karimnagar by six wickets while host Siddhartha beat Sri Venkateswara by 37 runs in the Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences inter-collegiate Twenty20 cricket tournament here on Wednesday.

The scores: Siddhartha MC 169 for six in 20 overs (R. Vamsi 50, Munuswamy three for 34) bt Sri Venkateswara MC 132 for nine in 20 overs (Vamsi 35, Uday 34, Ashok Vardhan three for 19).

Chalameda Ananda Rao IMS 97 in 20 overs (Rakesh four for 15) lost to Guntur MC 100 for three in 16 overs.

Prathima IMS 162 for six in 20 overs (Chaitanya 32, Jaspal Singh 30 n.o.) lost to Osmania MC 163 for four in 19 overs (Raghu Deep 50).

GSL MC 111 for nine in 20 overs (P. Sunil 47, Ramana three for 19) bt Andhra MC 95 in 19 overs.

Maharaja IMS 63 in 12 overs (Sunil six for 16) lost to NRI MC 67 for no loss in 5.1 overs (Rishi 51 n.o.).

Asram MC 153 for seven in 20 overs (Murali 50) lost to PES IMS 155 for seven in 19.3 overs (Bharath 50). — Principal Correspondent
