Mock exercise on disaster management

SANGAREDDY: As part of creating awareness on disasters in chemical industries, a mock exercise will be held at the district headquarters on March 30 by National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).

At a meeting held here on Wednesday, Collector S. Suresh Kumar said that the exercise was being taken up to get the preparedness in the event of disasters at the chemical factories located at Pasamylaram, Jinnaram, Bollaram, Patancheru and other areas. B.K. Khanna, senior specialist from the NDMA, will lead the mock exercise. A preparatory meeting would be held on March 29 in this regard.
