NEW DELHI: Some of the best basketball players of the country will be seen in action in the All Star Weekend at the Mastan YMCA in Mumbai on April 8 and 9. The two-day event will have skills competitions, apart from All Star games, featuring the most talented players in the country divided into East and West sides, in the men's and women's sections. Jagdeep Singh, Yadwinder Singh, Trideep Rai, Vishesh Bhriguvanshi, Jairam Jat, Hareesh Koroth, S. Sridhar, Arjun Singh, Riyazuddin, Mihir Pandey, Mohit Bhandari, Talwinderjit Singh Sahi, Geethu Anna Jose, Anitha Pau Durai, Prashanti Singh, Anju Lakra, Divya Singh and Akanksha Singh will be some of the prominent players who will be seen in action. There will be a three-point shooting competition for men and women, apart from a slam dunk event for men, before the East versus West matches on Saturday. The organiser, Ibrahim Lakdawala, stated that it would be a bigger event compared to the one last year. — Special Correspondent
