Award for director of ‘Peepli Live'

CHENNAI: Anusha Rizvi, director of ‘Peepli Live', has been chosen for the 14 {+t} {+h} ‘Gollapudi Srinivas National Award' for the year 2010, according to a press release from the Gollapudi Srinivas Memorial Foundation.

The award, instituted by the Gollapudi Srinivas Memorial Foundation, is given to a debutant director annually in memory of Gollapudi Srinivas, who passed away in an accident while making his first film. Ms. Rizvi's ‘Peepli Live' was selected from 16 nominations from across the country in several languages, including Hindi, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali and Kannada.
