Speakers advise students to work hard The District Collector attended the celebrations
Celebrating youth:Students of PVP Siddhartha Institute of Technology visiting a stall at the 13th annual day celebration in Vijayawada on Friday. VIJAYAWADA: Brightly dressed and sporting a happy smile, the students of PVP Siddhartha Institute of Technology celebrated the college annual day with a spirit of enthusiasm and gusto. The prize distribution function marked the day with non-stop applause and cheering in the lawns of the college. At the stalls and food courts set up on the occasion on the college premises, groups of students comprising both boys and girls were seen enjoying their time during the day. For them, it was a day of celebrating their friendship nurtured and cultivated carefully all through the year and preserving its fine memories even after leaving the college. The grin on the faces of the prize winners never faded after they received their prizes from the chief guest, APSEB retired superintending engineer G. Pattabhirama Rao. It was a special day for District Collector Peeyush Kumar, who made it a point to attend the celebrations briefly despite the fact that he was busy and preoccupied. “I am very busy preparing to leave for Delhi because of my transfer. It is because of my longing for my college days that I came here now. I used to participate actively in such programmes during my college days. It gives us a lot of happiness and satisfaction,” he said, bringing cheer all around in the audience. Further giving a few pieces of advice, Mr. Peeyush Kumar said to get a bright future and career, the students should give their total focus on the aspect of improving their personalities and also their skills necessary to impress organisations. He said the students would get abundant opportunities if they followed the rules of success carefully during their college days itself. Guests of honour were college convener Devabhaktuni Sambasiva Rao, Siddhartha Academy president S. Vishnuvardhana Rao, secretary N. Venkateswarlu, college committee member B. Sriramulu and others were present on the dais. The speakers advised the college students to put trust in their own capabilities and never to stop believing in their hard work as these factors would be determining their destiny.
