BANGALORE: ASC and MEG posted runaway victories in the State ‘A' Division basketball league (men) for the Prof. N.C Parappa Memorial trophy at the Sree Kanteerava stadium here on Friday. ASC continued from where it left off last week. Having won all its three matches last weekend, the Army side, though a little sluggish, proved far too superior for Southern Blues and won 54-38 after leading 36-22 at the halfway mark. MEG, with newcomer Amit Kumar doing the bulk of the scoring, overwhelmed Sports Hostel 67-20. The results: ASC 54 (Atif 13, Jairangan 10) bt Southern Blues 38 (Anand 12); MEG 67 (Amit Kumar 25) bt Sports Hostel 20 .
