FOR A SHELTER: A protest march taken out by members of the KeralaBhavana Rahita Kootayma to the Kochi Corporation office on Friday. KOCHI: The Kerala Bhavana Rahita Janakeeya Kootayma (union of the homeless) staged a dharna in front of the Kochi Corporation demanding inclusion of all the eligible persons in the beneficiary list of the EMS housing scheme. Those who participated in the agitation carried with them cots and pillows. ‘Waive loans' The participants demanded waiving of the bank loans of those who are living in rented houses, restoration of land grabbed by real estate lobbies and formation of a housing policy by including the right to own land as the birth right. T.A. Shaji, president of the union, inaugurated the agitation. K.S. Sudhir presided.
