All-round show by Syam

VISAKHAPATNAM: Andhra under-19 player G. Syam Sundar's all-round effort (five for 30 & 50 not out) helped Galaxy CC register a five-wicket win over Vizag Colts in the VDCA first division clubs league here on Saturday.

P. Satish Kumar scored an unbeaten 82 as Professional CC beat Madhavadhara CC by six wickets in the fifth division league.

The scores:

First division clubs league: Vizag Colts 224 in 41.4 overs (Tapasvi 43, S. Ramesh 34, V. Brahmananda Reddy 34, N. Madhu Babu 28, G. Syam Sundar five for 30) lost to Galaxy CC 225 for five in 25.2 overs (G. Syam Sundar 50 n.o., T. Sai Dinesh 50, K. Ram Kishore 50).

Fifth division: Madhavadhara CC 263 for seven in 50 overs (Kamal Kumar 53, Trinadh 42, Yogeswara Rao 39, Anil Kumar 32, V. Prasad 26) lost to Professional CC 264 for four in 39.5 overs (P. Satish Kumar 82 n.o., Chandrasekhar 60, Ravikumar 39) . — Special Correspondent
