Court order on actor's son

Special Correspondent

CHENNAI: The Madras High Court on Monday ordered that S. Anand alias Akash, the first husband of actor Vanitha, could take care of their nine-year-old son from Monday to Friday evening every week. Ms.Vanitha should take care of the child from Friday evening to Monday morning.

Justice V. Ramasubramanian passed the order on an application filed by Mr. Akash seeking an interim protection order enabling him to retain custody of the boy.

If the child was adamant and refused to go to Ms. Vanitha's house, Mr. Akash should take the child to child psychologist Pappakumari. It was the applicant's responsibility to ensure that the child cooperated.

Mr. Justice Ramasubramanian said that if the arrangement did not work, he might be left with no alternative except to order that the child be admitted to a residential school in the next academic year so that he was taken out of the totally permissive environment.
