Tinsukia: The manager of a prominent chain of petrol pumps in Tinsukia of upper Assam has been abducted by unidentified persons here on Tuesday, police sources said. Makum Motor petrol pumps manager Mahendra Jain was coming by train from Jorhat to Tinsukia when he was abducted from Tinsukia railway station, sources said. Jain sent a message from his mobile phone to an employee of the petrol pump that he had been abducted by two persons and was taken away in a vehicle to an unknown destination, the sources said. The phone was later found to be switched off.
