Villagers kill man, woman

Staff Reporter

SANGAREDDY: A man and a woman were killed and their bodies burnt by villagers allegedly for having extramarital relationship. The incident occured in Pocharam village of Pulkal mandal in Medak district late on Monday night.

Their were identified as E. Narasimhulu (30) of Goutapoor village of Alladurg mandal and B. Nagamani (22), according to Jogipet Circle Inspector D. Krishna,. The police official said Narsimhulu had migrated to Pocharam five years ago and developed extramarital relationship with the woman.

On learning about it, the relatives of Nagamani's husband, Lokesh, beat Narasimhulu and killed him. However it is not certain whether Nagamani was killed in a similar manner by Lokesh and others or whether she ended her life after consuming pesticide, fearing that she might meet with same fate. Police registered cases against Lokesh and others.
