More buses for Hassan city service

Hassan: The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) on Wednesday added six more buses to its fleet for the city service here. The corporation has proposed to add another 12 buses in a month.

Speaking to presspersons here on Wednesday, KSRTC divisional controller Basavaraju said the commuters would be benefited by this in a major way.

He said the corporation plans to improve the services in such a way that there is bus service in every 10 minutes.

The new buses cover Dairy Circle, Vidyanagar, B.M. Road, N.R. Circle, Housing Board, new and old KSRTC bus-stands, Kala Bhavan and Salagame.

These buses will ply between 6 a.m. and 10.30 p.m. The corporation has fixed a minimum charge of Rs. 4. for these buses.

Hassan City Municipal Council President C.R. Shankar was present at the press conference.
