THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The District Legal Services Authority, in association with the Legal Aid Cell of Government Law College here, will organise a Mega Adalat on the college premises on Sunday. Around 300 cases pending in various courts in Thiruvananthapuram will be settled at the adalat through conciliation by applying the principles of natural justice. Five courts presided over by judicial officers and assisted by advocates will function at the adalat, S. Usha, Principal, Government Law College, said in a release. Cases pertaining to family, property, financial disputes, electricity cases and those pending in police stations will be taken up at the adalat. Principal District Judge K. Ramakrishnan will inaugurate the mega adalat at 9.30 a.m. on Sunday. The settlement order will have the validity of a decree of a civil court.
