Ramanathapuram
RAMANATHAPURAM: As many as 15 candidates including All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidates presented papers for four constituencies such as Ramanathapuram, Paramakudi, Thiruvadanai and Mudukulathur on Thursday. Paramakudi: S. Sundararaj (60), AIADMK candidate for Paramakudi (reserve) filed his nomination with the Returning Officer, T. Shanmugaiah, at Paramakudi. Sarojini Devi (62) his wife, submitted her paper as a dummy to him. Suba. Nagarajan (57) of Kooriyur near Ramanathapuram recorded his candidature on behalf of the BJP. V. Velu (64) was the lone independent candidate, who filed his papers for Paramakudi on Thursday. Thiruvadanai: S. Mujibur Rahman (40) of Sellur in Madurai submitted a set of nomination papers for Thiruvadanai constituency on behalf of DMDK. No other nomination was received for Thiruvadanai on Thursday. Ramanathapuram: On Behalf of the BJP, Durai Kannan (41) of Pulikara Street in Ramanathapuram filed his papers for Ramanathapuram constituency with the Returning Officer, C. Muthukumaran. K. Muralidharan of Rameswaram registered as a dummy to him. M. Sethu (55) of Rameswaram (BSP), K. Raja Hussain (51) of Vallalpari Vadakku Theru in Ramanathapuram (Indian National League), A. Ayub Khan (41) (INL dummy) also filed their nomination papers for Ramanathapuram constituency. Mudukulathur: M. Murugan (39) of Pillaimartheru in Mudukulathur (AIADMK) was among the five candidates who recorded their candidatures for Mudukulathur on Thursday. K. Shanmugaraj (54) of Paramakudi (BJP) registered his papers with the Assistant Returning Officer at Mudukulathur. M. Mangala Iswari (45) of Kamaraj Nagar in Mudukulathur filed her nomination as BJP's dummy candidate. P. John Pandian (56) of Palayankottai, founder of Tamilaga Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam registered his nomination for Mudukulathur constituency. His wife Pricilla Johan Pandian was his dummy candidate.
