Appreciation certificates for creating awareness

VILLUPURAM: School and college students have been roped in to create awareness among people of the importance of exercising their franchise.

Educational institutions that fare well in this aspect will get appreciation certificates, beside gift articles for students, said R. Palanisamy, District Election Officer.

Addressing a meeting of Educations Department officials and college principals here on Friday, Mr. Palanisamy said compact discs, handbills and posters would be distributed among students to carry the message to elders.
