RJD leader held

Gaya: A Rashtriya Janata Dal leader, who unsuccessfully contested the 2010 Assembly election was on Friday arrested and around 4000 rounds of ammunition and cash were seized from his possession near Bodh Gaya, the police said.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team led by City Superintendent of Police Ratna Mani Sanjeev intercepted Bindeshwari Yadav alias Bindi Yadav's vehicle on Gaya-Bodh Gaya road and during the search, the ammunition for sophisticated weapons like SLRs and AK-47 were seized, the sources said.

“We arrested Yadav and brought him here for interrogation,” the SP said, adding it was being alleged that the arrested RJD leader was involved in supplying illegal firearms to the ultra-left outfit. - PTI
