Tirupur: Hosiery manufacturers, affiliated to South India Hosiery Manufacturers Association, will start an indefinite strike from Saturday, March 26.
A release said this was in protest against the recent imposition of CENVAT (central value added tax) on textile products.
Already, hosiery manufacturers in Tirupur have observed token strikes on the issue of imposition of central value-added tax on March 4, 15 and 16.
