45 file papers in Tirupur district

BJP nominee A. Parthiban filing papers for Tirupur North constituency at Tirupur RDO Office on Friday. —

Tirupur: A total of 58 nominations filed by 45 persons were received in the district on Friday.

Of the total nominations, a maximum of 21 were filed by 17 persons for Tirupur North constituency. This was followed by nine nominations submitted by seven candidates in Tirupur South constituency.

Of the remaining, seven nominations filed by six candidates were received at Kangeyam constituency, six nominations by five candidates at Palladam constituency, five nominations by two persons at Udumalpet constituency, four nominations by as many numbers of candidates at Madathukulam constituency and five nomination papers by three candidates at Avinashi constituency.

In Dharapuram constituency, only a single person filed the papers. The filing of nominations comes to end on Saturday.
