GMS inks pact with IndiaSkills

HYDERABAD: Gowtham Model Schools group has joined with IndiaSkills to provide professional training skills and employment in various sectors for the youngsters who have just completed their class X or Intermediate.
“The joint venture in vocational training between IndiaSkills and GMS is a step towards addressing the growing issue of lack of professional skills among students in India that renders them unemployable even after a formal education,” said Arun Sriram, GM – Product & Marketing, IndiaSkills and Venkata Narayana, Chairman, Gowtham Model Schools at a press conference on Friday.
They said innovative learning models, industry-relevant course content and practical training methods would go a long way in shaping the careers of the young students at GMS. To start with six centres will be set up in the city on GMS premises. Mr. Sriram said that courses would be offered in retail, hospitality, BFSI, banking operations, construction.
