Efforts on to nab Shirish Bharadwaj

Staff Reporter

Three special teams formed to nab him

His bail petition has been dismissed

HYDERABAD: Search operations have been intensified to trace Shirish Bharadwaj, son-in-law of actor-turned-politician Chiranjeevi, facing dowry harassment charges.

Three special teams were also formed to nab him as the local court has dismissed his bail petition on Thursday. An alert has been sounded across the airports and railway stations to prevent Shirish from escaping from the city, senior police officials said.

The houses of Shirish's relatives in twin cities were also found locked for the past few days. “We are leaving no stone unturned in tracing Shirish. We will arrest him within a few days,” officials said. Police are also examining the directions issued by the Metropolitan Legal Services Authority (MLSA) asking Shirish, his mother Suryamangala and wife Sreeja, Chiranjeevi's daughter, to appear for counselling on March 31 in connection with the matrimonial dispute.
