Manipal: The environmental club of Manipal Institute of Communication (MIC), called the Network of Eco-Explorers, Manipal (NEEM), will organise a seminar on the “Role of communication in environmental movements” at Dr. T.M.A. Pai Planetarium Complex here on Saturday.

A press release issued here on Friday stated that Chipko-Appiko environmental activist Pandurang Hegde would deliver the keynote address at the seminar.

The seminar will be preceded by the inauguration of NEEM's GAIA fest by Mr. Hegde.

Festival

The GAIA festival will be a three-week event.

The club will collaborate with the MIC's Fine Arts and Design for Expression (FADE) club to conduct pottery and paper mache workshops on March 29 and April 5, respectively.
