Cricket betting racket busted

HYDERABAD: The city police on Friday busted a cricket betting racket with the arrest of two persons.

Two mobile phones, a portable television and Rs.14,200 cash were recovered from the accused identified as Pavan Bhatia (28) and Mahesh Bhatia (30) both residents of Ghansi Bazaar.

Surveillance

In continuation of surveillance over cricket betting in connection with ongoing World Cup matches, police raided a house at Ghansi Bazaar and apprehended Pavan and Mahesh.
