Arup, Amrita triumph

KOLKATA: Top seeds Arup Baidya and Amrita Mukherjee won the men's and women's singles titles of the all-Bengal senior State-ranking badminton championship here on Saturday.

Baidya also won a double crown winning the men's doubles partnering Sourav Chatterjee.

The results: Men: Singles: A. Baidya bt Kaushik Pal 21-18, 21-14. Doubles: Baidya and S. Chatterjee bt Ashutosh Tiwary and K. Pal 21-13, 21-15. Women: Singles: A. Mukherjee bt Barnali Raha 22-20, 21-16 . – Special Correspondent
