MUMBAI: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has been interrogating the Switzerland-based hotelier, Philip Anandraj, and the Mumbai-based interior designer, Abbas Naqvi, for their alleged links with Hasan Ali Khan, a Pune-based businessman, and Kashinath Tapuriah, Kolkata-based businessman. Mr. Khan is in judicial custody now, having spent days in the ED's custody here. Mr. Tapuriah is being interrogated in ED custody. Official sources told The Hindu here on Saturday that the agency had been interrogating Mr. Anandraj for the past few days. “We interrogated Mr. Naqvi a few days ago,” an official said. The sources said Mr. Anandraj, the owner of Kormasutra, an Indian restaurant, in Zurich, was known to have been associated himself with Mr. Khan and Mr. Tapuriah since 2001. Mr. Khan was keen on investing in a hotel in Switzerland and asked him to short-list a property. Accordingly, Mr. Anandraj chose one and introduced him to the owner for negotiations. He also lent Mr. Khan Rs. 5 lakh. Sources in the ED said it was Mr. Anandraj who handed over a sealed envelope containing the notarised document with details of Mr. Khan's financial transactions and links with international arms dealer Adnan Khashoggi to the Executive Director of Organisational Development, Wolfsberg, Prabhu Guptara. Mr. Anandraj was given the envelope in London. He took it to Switzerland.
