The need for increasing India's exports manifold and the part that market research and advertising could play in this connection was emphasised by several speakers in New Delhi on March 28 at the advertising conference organised by the Indian Society of Advertisers. The Finance Minister, Mr. Morarji Desai, said that India could not go on taking large loans from friendly countries though such loans were welcome in the initial stages.
