Kozhikode: Noted mathematician John R. Ockendon from Oxford University, UK, inaugurated a four-day international conference on Mathematical Modelling and Applications to Industrial Problems, organised by the mathematics department of the National Institute of Technology, Calicut, (NIT-C) at Aryabhatta Hall of the institute in Chathamangalam on Monday. More than 150 delegates from countries including Sri Lanka, Nepal and Slovenia and from all over India are participating in the meet as delegates. Mathematicians, subject experts from the USA, the UK, Germany and Australia are attending the conference as speakers.
