Warning issued

Special Correspondent

RAMANATHAPURAM: The Tamil Nadu Energy Generation and Distribution Corporation has warned that those tapping power from domestic connections and power lines for campaign meeting will be treated as power theft.

In a statement, R.V. Yadheendiran, Superintending Engineer, Ramanathapuram, said the candidates and political parties should get separate temporary connections for election related usages such as public meetings, illuminating tube lights and serial lights as part of electioneering.

Strict action would be taken against violators, the official said.
