25 nominations rejected

Namakkal: Of the total 119 nominations for the Assembly elections, officials on Monday rejected 25 nominations after scrutinising them.

Among the six assemblies in the district, maximum nominations were rejected in the Tiruchengode and Paramathi-Velur assemblies (6 each).

The 25 of them included 15 dummy candidates and 9 independent candidates. The final list of contesting candidates would be released on March 30, the last day for withdrawing nominations.
