CPI district secretary expelled
Special Correspondent
CHENNAI: The State unit of the CPI on Monday expelled Krishnagiri district secretary P. Nagaraja Reddy from the primary membership.
In a statement here, CPI state secretary D. Pandian said that the party would also issue show-cause notice for filing defamation since he had accused the party of receiving money from the Thalli candidate.
Staff Reporter from Hosur writes:
Mr. Reddy had told reporters here on Sunday that he had resigned from the party protesting against the high command's “neglect.” He, along with his supporters, would support the DMK's Thalli candidate Y. Prakash.
The high command had sidelined those who worked for the party, he said.
