NEW DELHI: Asian Tour Order of Merit leader S.S.P. Chowrasia, a two-time winner on the European Tour, along with Jyoti Randhawa will be among the leading names in action at the Delhi Golf Club course when the inaugural edition of the $300,000 Panasonic Open takes place from April 6 to 9. This will be the third event on the Asian Tour calendar to take place in and around the Capital this year. The two earlier events were, the Avantha Masters at Gurgaon last month and the SAIL Open here last week. Unlike the SAIL Open, which also offered $300,000 in prize-money, the profile of the Panasonic Open seems bigger and better. Several previous winners on the Asian Tour, including two-time winner Gaganjeet Bhullar, have confirmed participation. A total of 156 professionals from 24 countries will take part. The first three placed professionals here will be invited to play in the prestigious Asia-Pacific Panasonic Open from September 22 to 25 this year. — Special Correspondent
