Mumbai: Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, prime accused in the 2008 Malegaon bomb blast case, will be presented before the judicial magistrate in Devas, Madhya Pradesh, on Wednesday. The special Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) court on Tuesday passed an order allowing Ms. Thakur to be present for investigation in the Sunil Joshi murder case. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) activist Joshi was shot dead at Devas on December 29, 2007. He was a suspect in the Samjhauta Express blast case. “In the order, the court has directed the J.J. Hospital Superintendent to discharge her and hand her over to the Byculla jail,” Ms. Thakur's counsel Rameshwar Gite told The Hindu. The jail authorities have been entrusted with the responsibility of producing Ms. Thakur before the magistrate. “The court has instructed that Sadhvi be taken either by plane or by rail, and not by road,” Mr. Gite said, adding that the decision was taken following a medical report submitted by experts at the J.J. Hospital on her health. She is known to suffer from back problems. It was not clear till when Ms. Thakur will be kept in Devas. The court has requested the magistrate to send her back after she had fulfilled her purpose before the court. Meanwhile, official sources told The Hindu that according to medical reports submitted by the experts, Ms. Thakur did not suffer from any ailments apart from back-ache.
