10-more days of judicial custody for Bhanot, Verma

NEW DELHI: A Delhi court on Tuesday sent the former Commonwealth Games Organising Committee Secretary-General, Lalit Bhanot, and the former Director-General, V.K. Verma, to the Tihar Central Jail for 10 more days of judicial custody in the case of irregularities in awarding the Games Timing, Scoring and Results System contract.

Special Judge (CBI) Talwant Singh had on Monday heard arguments on Dr. Bhanot's bail plea.

The hearing on Mr. Verma's bail application began on Tuesday.

The matter has been posted for further hearing on April 1.
