SHAHBAD: Saraswati, who is physically challenged, and her elder sister Sonubai Thakur have no place to go. The two senior citizens, who were living in a rented two-room house near Nehru Chowk, are on the streets for the past three days after their house was demolished by the authorities.
They are surviving on the old-age pension from the Government. Ms. Sonubai said she did not know where to go now and how to live without a roof over their head.
“I was paying Rs. 200 as rent…. I do not know whether I would get another house for the same rent,” said Ms. Sonubai, who is staying temporarily in a school .
