PALAKKAD: Malampuzah Assembly constituency in the district, where Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan is seeking mandate for third time in a row, is having the highest number of electorates of 1,80,267 in the district. Female voters outnumber male voters in the constituency. There are 92,335 female electorates as against the 87,932 male voters. Tarur (reserved for SC) where Electricity Minister A.K. Balan is contesting has the lowest number of 1,48,716 voters. There are 76,288 female voters and 72,428 male voters. In Thrithala, the total number of voters stood at 1,55,363 of which 81,484 are female and 73,879 male. In Pattambi, the total electorates are 1,53,467 of which 79,092 are female and 74,375 male. Shoranur has 1,63,389 electorates of which 86,379 are female and 77,010 male. Ottapalam has a total number of 1,74,364 voters of which 91,681 are female and 82,683 male. In Kongad, the total electorates are 1,55,410 of which 80,056 are female and 75,354 are male. Mannarkkad has 1,66,126 electorates of which 85,851 are female and 80,275 male. Palakkad Assembly constituency has 1,54,101 voters of which 78,825 are female and 75,276 male.
